Is your cell phone, camera, tablet or computer full of photos and videos in total disorder? Is it difficult to find and present your photos and videos to others? ?

                                          

​

 

 

 

 

Do you have old photo albums, or boxes full of loose, old photos, which nobody wants to watch? What about old negatives and slides, 8mm home movies, VHS or MiniDV or other videotapes? 

                                                         

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Would you like to show your pictures and videos to your friends in good quality and on interesting format in high-definition television, computer monitors, tablet or phone?

What about old negatives and slides, 8mm home movies, VHS or MiniDV tapes?

 

Would you like to put your pictures and videos to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or some other application, as high-definition video on a high-quality (MP4)?

If you have pictures and/or videos of your friends, wouldn't it be nice to give them a gift of a movie or slideshow, made of high quality video with titles and music?

I will turn your photos and videos to a 2-5 minutes long video with music, titles and various effects to enliven the viewing experience and make images look better.

​

I will handle the pictures as follows:

​

1. Digitally recorded images

​

The best results, can be achieved from the pictures or videos taken at the same time or during a short period.

​

Suitable topics could be:

​

1. Different types of events: e.g., birthday, anniversary, child's party, matriculation examination, confirmation, or any other celebration, holidays, children's games, sports events, visits, weddings, etc.

2. A person or persons found in different situations, and/or locations. We could make a portrait like video of him/her/them. This, however, might require the collection of  images and/or videos over long  period of time.

3. Also, a video can be made from variety of locations e.g.. home, office, kitchen, garden, sports fields, etc. environment. The location can be made to look emotional, nostalgic, mysterious etc. But this requires the collection of images from longer or shorter period of time and in different illuminations.

4. Also, objects and their different uses and environments of use could be made to a narrative and emotional video.

5. There are many more issues which you might want to make a video of. Tell me what topics you would like to have one.

About 15-20 photos are needed for a 2 minute video and for a 5-minute video, about 40-60 pictures are needed. Possible videos reduce the number of required photos.

​

You can send me the images, videos, music and video files, your suggestions for the title and other materials, free of charge, through various internet services specializing in transfer of large files.

 

Just assemble all the material in one file folder and send it to me for example: through Google Pictures  or  Google Drive  or  Filemail  or  Microsoft OneDrive  or any other site. Instructions for sending and receiving files can be found from the sites.

 

I will send edited videos and invoices back to you the same way.

 

I can also copy your photos and videos from social media (Facebook, Twiter, youtube, etc.)

I will make the basic adjustments for pictures and videos such as: fixing exposure, correct the color, adjust sharpness, etc. as far as is possible. I will also put them in correct format to show in high-definition TV: 16:9 (720x1280px or 1920x1080px) Mp4 video. (The phone's camera and pictures taken vertically are more difficult to put in 16:9 format).

I will add suitable music for video or you can tell me what kind of music you would like.

​

2. Existing photos (albums, prints, etc) and slides and 8mm and 16mm films 

​

1. You can either scan or photograph your existing photos with your camera and then upload them to me as described above.

2.  If you have a negative scanner you can scan the slides and negatives in digital format. (You can also do this yourself at the Finnish libraries at no cost.)

3. You can also send me all your materials by post and then I will change it to digital format. This option is the most expensive and you should ask for a cost estimate before begining.

4. You can convert 8mm and 16mm home movies on film to digital format (in Finnish libraries without cost.) But if you would like me to do it for you, please, ask for a cost estimate before

5. When materials are in digital format, I will process them in the same way as in paragraph 1. (Digitally recorded images).

3. Returning of finished videos and other materials

​

1. High quality MP4 video that you can transfer to a USB flash drive, upload it to a social network, send it via the Internet to friends and acquaintances, put it on YouTube, show it on your HDTV, computer, etc. and

2. Lighter mp4 video file that is more suitable for a phone, or other devise using smaller file size.  If you let me know the make of your phone, I can make a suitable video for it.

4. Estimated expences and charges

​

Prices vary depending on the length of the video between € 50.00 and 190.00. If you would like to add your own commentary to the video then I will charge € 40.00 extra for it.

​

For scanning, photgraphing the existing prints, converting 8mm and 16mm films, etc. to digital format, I will give you a cost estimate before starting the work. Possible postal charges for returning the materials are included in the estimate.

In all cases, I'll give you a cost estimate before I start. This cost estimate will not change later unless you want some changes made as the work progresses.
